With promotions and events in full swing, I joined O, The Oprah Magazine during the most successful launch in magazine history as their first in-house creative manager. In this role, I established the design vision for advertising and promotions as it aligned with the magazine's distinctive voice.

Event Branding
I was hired just as the first Oprah's Live Your Best Life Tour was getting underway. The tour logo had been designed by Hearst's in-house creative team prior to me being hired. So I jumped in, using the logo as a starting point to to design and produce the event agenda and signage.

Invitation Design
A successful magazine launch meant a generous design budget, which freed my creativity to run wild. I conceptualized and designed this ”blooming” die cut invitation to an event introducing the new beauty editor as a playful nod the venue, Bloom. It was a joy to create, and recipients later expressed to me their delight in peeling open each petal to reveal the invitation.

Advertising
Above: O, The Oprah Magazine is known for having a distinct theme for each monthly issue of the magazine. I designed this one-year anniversary ad to highlight the monthly themes, while keeping the design cheerful, uncluttered, and on-brand.

Right: Highlighting multiple offers with lots of images and logos can easily become messy! As a designer, I take the approach of tidying up. With careful attention to scale, alignment, and balanced imagery, I designed this multi-advertiser advertorial to be clean and inviting.
